About this job
Our company is looking for CDL-A drivers, including recent grads, for over-the-road routes out of Hattiesburg, MS. You'll run steady freight on long-haul lanes with consistent weekly pay.
Pay
- $1,300 to $1,500 per week
- Average weekly miles range from 2500 to 3200
Home time
- 2 weeks on the road followed by 2 days at home
Training
- New graduates get paid OTR training alongside a driver mentor, plus paid orientation
What you'll haul
- Safe, steady freight on long-haul routes, operating a Class A tractor trailer
What the job involves
- Running required pre- and post-trip inspections
- Getting freight delivered safely and on time
- Keeping logs and trip paperwork accurate
- Staying in regular contact with dispatch and driver managers
Requirements
- At least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL
- CDL school certificate showing at least 120 hours of training
- Clean driving record and background check
- Able to pass a DOT drug screening
- Experienced drivers need at least 6 months of OTR or regional experience to qualify for experienced-driver status
