CDL-A OTR Truck Driver — $0.70/Mile, Drop-and-Hook

This is a 1099 independent contractor role for an experienced Class A CDL driver hauling 53-foot dry van freight over the road. You'll run steady long-haul lanes and get paid weekly based on miles driven.

Pay

• $0.70 per mile

• Roughly 3,000 miles a week

• Paid out weekly, with the billing week running Monday through the following Monday and payment issued every Friday

• Only deduction is a $160 monthly occupational insurance fee — nothing else comes out of your pay

• Classified as a 1099 independent contractor

Home time

• Expect about three weeks out on the road, then five days home

What you'll haul

• 53-foot dry van trailers

• Mostly drop-and-hook, no-touch freight

• Routes concentrated in the Midwest, South, and Southeast

Requirements

• Current Class A CDL

• At least one year of verifiable OTR experience

• Background pulling 53-foot dry vans

• Solid, clean driving record

• Comfortable being on the road for stretches of about three weeks
