About this job
Our company is hiring Class A OTR drivers who live within 90 miles of Laredo, TX. Run solo for straightforward mileage pay, or step up as a Driver Mentor to train newer drivers and earn extra. New CDL holders are also considered through a training path.
Pay
- Solo drivers: $0.70 CPM or more, based on qualifying experience
- Mentors: $0.70+ CPM base, plus $0.10 CPM mentor pay, plus up to $0.10 CPM productivity pay, for a potential $0.90+ CPM while actively mentoring (varies with experience, productivity and program rules)
- New CDL holders: $0.35 CPM during initial OTR training while building their first three months of qualifying experience, then eligible to move to the standard solo pay starting at $0.70 CPM
- Paid weekly, with additional performance incentives possibly available
Home time
Solo runs typically keep you out 7 to 10 days before you head home. Mentor assignments usually run about 11 days, covering an observation period plus qualifying training days, and you can return to solo driving or take home time between students.
What you'll haul
All freight is 100% no-touch, with steady OTR mileage and freight available year-round. Equipment is late-model.

New drivers
If you're a new Class A CDL holder, you may qualify for training: initial instruction followed by OTR training alongside an experienced mentor. You earn $0.35 CPM during this period, and after your first three months of qualifying experience you may move up to standard solo pay starting at $0.70 CPM.
