About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to run over-the-road freight across tractor-trailers, reefers, flatbeds, and tankers. You'll handle a mix of equipment types and freight, including loads that need hazmat handling, while keeping deliveries on schedule and compliant with safety rules.
What you'll do
- Operate tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers on OTR routes
- Follow GPS routing while staying compliant with DOT and FMCSA rules
- Load, secure, haul, and unload freight, including hazardous materials when required
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Keep accurate hours-of-service logs and delivery paperwork
- Stay in contact with dispatch on scheduling, route updates, or on-road issues
Pay
$0.65 to $0.75 per mile.
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A, with hazmat or tanker endorsements a plus
- Solid experience driving tractor-trailers or similar heavy trucks
- Background in long-distance or regional route driving preferred
- Comfortable with reefers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazmat rules
- Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA requirements
- Confident driving manual transmission trucks and using GPS navigation
- Experience loading and unloading freight safely
