About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A team truck driver for OTR dedicated routes, hauling dry van and refrigerated trailers. You will run 4-5 weeks on the road followed by 1 full week home.
Pay
- From $2,200.00 per week
Home time
- 4-5 weeks out, then 1 full week home
- You must be comfortable being away for weeks at a time
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailer dry van and refrigerated trailers
- Freight delivered across various locations, including OTR and dedicated lanes
What you'll do
- Plan and follow routes using GPS
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections to check mechanical condition, safety equipment and paperwork
- Keep accurate logs of hours, deliveries and vehicle maintenance per federal rules
- Stay in contact with dispatch on route changes, delivery progress and any problems on the road
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record
- 6 months of OTR or local tractor-trailer experience preferred
- 1 year of driving experience preferred overall
- Understanding of FMCSA and DOT rules
- Comfortable using GPS for both OTR and local route planning
- English required
