About this job
Our company is looking for an experienced OTR tanker driver to haul non-hazardous freight over long distances across the country. This is a 1099 contract position hauling tanker loads on a national scale.
Pay
- $3,000.00 - $6,000.00 per week
- Full-time contract work
What you'll haul
- Non-hazardous freight in tanker trailers
- Long-haul, over-the-road routes covering the nation
What you'll do
- Run your tractor-trailer safely over OTR lanes while staying within FMCSA and DOT rules
- Plan your trips with GPS tools and keep within hours-of-service limits
- Check your rig and tank thoroughly before and after each trip
- Keep accurate records of your hours, deliveries, and freight paperwork
- Stay in contact with dispatch, customers, and responders if issues come up on the road
- Handle loading and unloading of cargo as needed
Requirements
- Solid background driving tractor-trailers, tanker experience required
- Valid CDL with a tanker endorsement (Hazmat endorsement preferred)
- Comfortable driving manual transmission trucks and using GPS for navigation
- Clean driving history and solid OTR route experience
