About this job
Our company needs a dependable CDL-A driver for OTR step deck work across the United States. A truck is ready and waiting for the right driver. This is full-time, over-the-road work.
Pay
- You're paid 30% of the truck's gross revenue, issued weekly
- Actual earnings depend on the loads and weekly revenue the truck generates
- Steady freight keeps the work flowing
- Annual pay ranges from $120,000.00 to $155,000.00
What you'll haul
- Step deck trailer freight on OTR routes nationwide
What the job involves
- Driving the truck and trailer safely on long-haul runs
- Securing cargo properly with chains, straps, tarps, edge protection and other tools
- Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
- Keeping ELD logs and paperwork current and accurate
- Staying compliant with DOT and FMCSA rules
- Keeping dispatch updated on pickups, deliveries, delays and load status
- Keeping the truck and gear clean and in good shape
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Clean driving history
- Understanding of DOT and FMCSA rules
- Reliable and responsible work habits
- Comfortable running OTR; step deck or flatbed experience is a plus
- Experience tarping and securing loads is a plus
