About this job
This OTR solo role suits East Texas drivers who want long stretches on the road followed by real time at home. You'll be out 2-3 weeks at a stretch, then get 2-3 days off, with your specific lanes and delivery points depending on where you're based.
What you'll haul
- Mostly temperature-controlled freight, with some dry van loads mixed in
- All no-touch, so you won't be loading or unloading
- Staying in touch with customers and your fleet manager is part of the job
Equipment
- Freightliner tractors, three years old or newer, automatic transmission
- 53-foot trailers with current safety technology
Pay
- Paid per mile (CPM), with rates reflecting 1+ years of experience on these OTR accounts
- Weekly pay has recently ranged from $1,202 to $1,512, and a weekly Safe and On Time Bonus of up to 3% is available
- A $1,000 sign-on bonus applies during the current holiday promotion
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 21 years old
- A minimum of 3 months of recent Class A driving experience
