CDL-A OTR/Regional Truck Driver — $0.70/mi, Weekly Home Time

Our company in Winona, MN needs a CDL-A driver to haul materials and products for the business, running mostly regional/long haul routes with sleeper berth use, plus some local shuttle runs between RTP facilities and vendors. You'll be home most weekends.

Pay

• $0.70 per mile (loaded or empty) on days you run over 400 miles

• Raises at 6 months, 1 year, and every year after that

• Starting wage depends on your experience

• You get paid for unloading time

Home time

• Weekly home time, with time off at home for 99% of weekends

• Some weeknights at home too, depending on what loads are available

• Expect 10-hour rest breaks away from home while on sleeper runs

What you'll haul

• About 80% of your time will be regional/long haul runs in a sleeper truck

• The other 20% is local shuttle work between RTP buildings and vendors

• Freight includes dry van (skid) products, pneumatic bulk product, and trash compactor loads, using van and pneumatic trailers

• You'll load and unload pneumatic trailers using a PTO blower, and run a forklift for loading/unloading as needed

What the job involves

• Following dispatch instructions and hooking/dropping trailers as directed

• Pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections at set intervals

• Driving safely under DOT, state, federal and company rules

• Fueling at approved stops and keeping daily trip records and DOT logs using an ELD

• Staying in contact with customers, maintenance, safety and dispatch on routing, breakdowns, accidents, damage or other issues

• Lifting or moving up to 75 lbs regularly, and working in varied weather and warehouse conditions

• Joining company meetings and quality improvement efforts, plus other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted CDL-A

• Licensed to drive a manual transmission truck

• 2 years of OTR experience

• A driving record that stays satisfactory under DOT rating

• Dependable, punctual, and able to make sound decisions on the job

• Good communication and professionalism with customers
