CDL-A OTR Reefer Driver — Trainees Welcome, $1,200–$1,400/wk

Run reefer freight OTR for a major nationwide carrier out of all 48 states, with drop and hook or live load/unload (no touch freight). New drivers fresh out of CDL school are welcome, and experienced drivers are paid more.

Pay

• Paid on all miles driven

• Trainees: flat $700 per week during a 4 week training period

• New drivers after training: starting at $0.50 per mile, rising to $0.51 after 6 months and $0.52 after 12 months

• Drivers with 2 years or less experience: $0.56 per mile

• 3-4 years experience: $0.57 per mile

• 5-6 years experience: $0.58 per mile

• 7+ years experience: $0.59 per mile

• $20.00 per stop

• Typical weekly miles run between 2,600 and 2,800, with an average haul of 750 miles

• Weekly pay typically lands between $1,200 and $1,400

• Paid by direct deposit every week

Home time

• Out 3-4 weeks at a time, home for 3-4 days

• You get 1 day off for every 6 days out, up to 4 days off

What you'll haul

• Reefer trailers, drop and hook or live load/unload, no touch freight

• Routes cover all 48 states with a major nationwide fleet

• You'll drive new automatic Freightliner Cascadias

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A

• Either 1 year of OTR experience in a 53' tractor trailer within the last 3 years, or 6 months OTR experience plus 120 hours from an accredited truck driving school

• Trainees with no experience are accepted if they completed a 120+ hour driving school within the last 6 months

• TWIC card required (the carrier will help you get one and covers the costs)

• No criminal record, and no drug or alcohol violations

• No preventable accidents or moving violations, ever

• Clean MVR with no tickets

• Your CDL address must match the hiring area

• Urine drug screening only, no SAP drivers
