CDL-A OTR Reefer Driver — Home Every Two Weeks

Our company is bringing on new CDL-A drivers out of Griffin, Hampton and Spalding County for an OTR refrigerated run. You won't touch freight at the dock, you'll be home on a two-week cycle, and every stage of the job pays weekly.

Pay by stage

• Orientation (up to 2 days): $300 once hired, plus a covered hotel and reimbursed bus ticket

• Training, weeks 1-5: $850 a week while you ride with a mentor for 200-250 hours, covering backing, trip planning, logs and fueling

• Solo, months 1-3: a guaranteed minimum of $1,000 a week in your own assigned truck (about 1.5 years old on average, automatic or 10-speed)

• Month 4 onward: average $1,300 to $1,500 a week running 1,900 to 2,800 miles, which includes a flat $100 for short hauls and a monthly performance bonus

What you'll haul

Refrigerated loads moving through the East and Midwest, with both day and night runs. Weekend and holiday driving is part of the schedule, and you won't be unloading freight yourself.

Home time

You're home every two weeks.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL

• New CDL grads okay, or 6 months of recent driving experience

• 2 or fewer moving violations in the past 2 years

• No DUI or DWI in the last 10 years

• Must pass a DOT physical along with hair and urine drug screens
