CDL-A OTR Reefer Driver — $1,600–$2,500/week

Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to run OTR routes hauling refrigerated freight long distances.

Pay

• $1,600.00 - $2,500.00 per week

What you'll haul

• Refrigerated (reefer) trailers carrying perishable goods

• May also include hazardous materials or other specialized loads such as flatbed or tanker freight when needed

What you'll do

• Drive Class A tractor-trailers with reefer units on long-haul routes, following FMCSA and DOT rules

• Plan routes with GPS to hit delivery windows while managing fuel and time well

• Load, secure and unload freight, handling hazmat or other specialized cargo as required

• Run pre-trip and post-trip checks on the truck, the refrigeration unit, and the load

• Log your hours, deliveries and vehicle maintenance per FMCSA rules

• Stay in touch with dispatch on route progress, delivery status and any issues

• Handle freight manually during loading and unloading, following safety procedures

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record

• Solid OTR experience hauling refrigerated trailers

• Comfortable using GPS and planning long-distance routes

• Know-how with refrigeration units, trailer upkeep and handling freight, including hazardous goods

• Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT and hazmat safety rules

• Able to manually load and unload freight safely

• Manual transmission experience is a plus, but you'll need to be willing to drive one

• Good communication for coordinating with dispatch and staying compliant on the road
