About this job
Our company is looking for a solo CDL-A driver to run dedicated OTR flatbed freight out of Eastman, GA. You'll be home weekly on a Sunday-Friday schedule with a 6:00 AM dispatch.
Pay
- Drivers on this account average $2050 per week
- Paid weekly, based on mileage plus stops
- Hourly delay pay kicks in after the first hour
- Layover pay included
- Paid training provided
Home time and schedule
- OTR interstate route with home time every week
- Works Sunday through Friday
- Dispatch starts at 6:00 AM
What you'll haul
- Dedicated OTR interstate freight, solo
- 53ft flatbed trailers pulled by sleeper tractors
- Freight work involves strapping, tarping and load securement only
- Trucks are well maintained, with 24/7 roadside help and fueling at more than 800 locations nationwide
Requirements
- At least 22 years old
- Must pass our company's drug test, background check, motor vehicle check and DOT physical, plus a road test
- Drug and alcohol history verified with past employers for the last 3 years
- Valid Class A license with needed endorsements
- Verifiable tractor-trailer experience: 12 months in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5, or 5 years in the last 10
- Able to follow spoken and written instructions and apply relevant laws, rules and procedures
- Some locations or accounts may have added requirements
Responsibilities
- Drive safely and follow DOT and safety regulations, with ongoing training
- Keep up with applicable laws, rules and guidelines
- Spot and reduce safety hazards, and keep accurate logs and records
- Help load or unload freight when the customer requires it
- Handle other assigned tasks
