CDL-A OTR Driver — $25.00/hr Starting, ESOP Company

Our company, an employee-owned oilfield chemical company, needs a dependable CDL-A driver for over-the-road hauls. You'll move equipment and materials between DCS facilities and client sites across multiple states on multi-day runs.

Pay

• Starts at $25.00 per hour, based on experience

• Per diem and layover pay for multi-day OTR trips, per company policy

• 8 hours of standby pay when it applies

Home time

Routes are regional and long-haul OTR, with multi-day trips and scheduled home time built into the rotation.

What you'll haul

You'll run a Class A tractor-trailer carrying DCS equipment and materials between company facilities and delivery or client locations, departing from your assigned DCS facility.

What the job involves

• Pre-trip and post-trip DVIR inspections on your tractor and trailer

• Keeping your truck clean inside and out

• Collecting and turning in accurate Bills of Lading from facilities and customers

• Planning routes and managing Hours of Service across multi-day runs

• Making sure safety gear (first aid kit, fire extinguisher, reflective triangles) is stocked

• Staying in contact with the Logistics Manager, Remote Operations Center, mechanics and receiving facilities while on the road

• Running multi-state, overnight and multi-day deliveries as scheduled

• Handling basic mechanical tasks like mudflap and gasket installs and fluid checks

• Logging hours electronically through the GEOTAB Drive ELD app, and using Microsoft Teams and Cat Scales apps (training provided)

• Following DOT rules on Hours of Service, speed limits and truck restrictions

• Turning in timesheets and logs as required

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record

• Solid grasp of DOT regulations, Hours of Service and ELD use

• Comfortable with light mechanical work

• Able to use smartphones and apps for dispatch, routing, logging and compliance

• Willing to be away from home for multi-day trips, including sleeper-berth nights

• Dependable, self-motivated, and a strong team communicator

• High school diploma or GED preferred

A plus if you have prior OTR experience, have hauled frac water, crude, or saltwater disposal, hold H2S, PEC/Safeland or OSHA certifications, or have forklift/heavy equipment experience.
