Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to join its marine division, delivering brand-new pontoons and recreational boats from manufacturers to dealerships throughout the US and Canada. This is specialty freight that pays well and keeps the scenery changing. Based in Germantown, WI.
Pay
- Drivers average $75,000 to $85,000 a year
- Starts at $0.60 per mile, bumped to $0.61 per mile if you carry a passport or enhanced license
- $5,000 sign-on bonus, spread out over monthly payments
- An extra $1,000 once you finish orientation and run your first load
- You're paid for stops and detention time too
- Settlements come every week
Home time
Runs typically keep you out 14 to 21 days before you head back, depending on where you're based.
Equipment
You'll be behind the wheel of a Volvo 860 or Freightliner Cascadia, with nothing in the fleet older than 3 years old (average age is 16 months). Trucks are set up for long stretches away from home, with fridges, leather seats, double curtain wraps, double bunks and built-in inverters. Orientation is paid and takes place at a hotel in Roseville, MN or Appling, GA.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid CDL-A
- Minimum of 1 year behind the wheel
