About this job
Our company needs a CDL-A driver to handle tractor-trailer moves within a yard in Mesquite, NV. You'll work solo, run local routes, and be home every day.
Pay
- $26.00 per hour
- 40-45 hours per week
- Weekly paycheck, totaling $1040 or more
- Paid training included
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Shift starts between 3:00 AM and 12:00 PM
What you'll haul
- Moving a yard truck pulling a 53' reefer trailer
- No-touch freight, yard work only
- Trucks are 36 months old or newer, with maintenance and fueling support at over 800 locations nationwide and 24/7 roadside help
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with required endorsements
- One of: 9 months of tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years
- Must pass a drug test, background check, motor vehicle record review (including drug/alcohol checks from past employers for the last 3 years), DOT physical and a our company road test
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant laws, rules and procedures
- Some assignments may require extra screening, such as employment or education checks, additional driving record review, or customer-specific badging
What you'll do
- Safely move and position tractor-trailers in the yard and on nearby public roads
- Follow DOT and safety rules, complete ongoing training, and support customer needs
- Keep accurate logs of yard inventory and completed moves
- Spot and address potential safety hazards
