CDL-A Local Truck Driver — Up to $90K, Daily Home Time, NYC Grocery Delivery

Our company is looking for CDL-A drivers to run local grocery delivery routes out of Hatfield, MA, with daily home time and strong earning potential. Most stops are in the NYC boroughs and Long Island, with an assigned automatic daycab and a consistent weekly schedule.

Pay

• Annualized earnings up to $90,000 (weekly pay range $1,923.00-$2,115.00)

• $0.48-$0.56 per mile, plus a $50 daily rate

• $15/hour for detention time

• $21 for each drop & hook stop

• $42 stop pay for NYC boroughs (Queens, Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island, Brooklyn)

• $45 stop pay when using a lift-gate

• $200/day pay during new-hire training

• $20/hour for safety training

• $160/day holiday pay

What you'll haul

• Fresh and frozen groceries delivered to supermarkets and distribution centers

• 80-90% of runs land in the NYC boroughs and Long Island, with borough stops expected daily

• Other coverage area includes NJ, MA, VT, RI, NH, ME, PA and parts of Upstate NY

• Usually one long route per day, with around 15-20 stops a week

• Some shorter runs, return trips and backhauls mixed in

• You'll be trained on an electric pallet jack and may occasionally help cover other local accounts

• Good customer service skills needed for store interactions

Schedule & equipment

• Home every day, with a split AM schedule and early start times

• Steady, predictable weekly routine

• You'll run an assigned automatic daycab pulling 46', 48', 51' or 53' reefer trailers

• Fleet trucks are generally around 3 years old or newer, equipped with new electric pallet jacks

• Uniforms are provided, but trucks stay at the yard - no take-home driving

• You'll need your own reliable way to get to and from the account

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A and at least 21 years old

• Minimum 3 months of verifiable experience with one carrier in the past 6 months

• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no license suspension in that time

• No more than 3 minor accidents/incidents in 3 years, or more than 1 highway accident in the past year

• No more than 3 combined accidents and tickets, and no more than 1 serious moving violation in 3 years

• No careless/reckless driving conviction, rear-end accident, or rollover in the last 3 years

• No more than 5 jobs in the past 3 years, and no termination for safety reasons

• No felony conviction in the last 7 years, and no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years

• Able to pass a DOT physical along with urine and hair drug testing

• Misdemeanor convictions will be reviewed case by case
