About this job
Our company has a dedicated CDL-A driving job hauling Harbor Freight freight out of Haslet, TX. Loads are preloaded, so there's no touch freight beyond using a pallet jack to stage pallets for store unload.
What you'll haul
- Dedicated Harbor Freight account, running through Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi
- Mix of local and overnight runs, about 2-4 stops per load
- Freight is preloaded by the customer; a driver unload assist program is in place
- You'll use a hand pallet jack to bring pallets to the tail of the trailer, where store staff unload with forklifts; you're responsible for getting the right pallets to the right store
- Delivery windows run 6AM-6PM, seven days a week; pickup times vary by store location and could be any hour
- Saturday runs depend on customer demand; expect shifts up to 11 hours or a 70-hour clock when needed
- Company-provided tandem-axle sleeper trucks pulling 53-ft trailers
- All routes start and end at the distribution center at 1257 Bold Ruler RD, Haslet, TX 76052
Home time
Home time ranges from daily to every other day, depending on your assigned route.
