About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A truck driver in Bensalem, PA to run local flatbed routes delivering building materials, with every night back home. Drivers on this account bring in $1,673 or more each week.
Pay
- Weekly paychecks
- $0.95 per mile for solo drivers, based on 1,400 miles per week
- $30 per stop, with 14 stops per week
- Paid training included
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 40+ hours weekly
- Dispatch starts between 4:00 AM and 6:00 AM
What you'll haul
- Solo runs across PA, NJ and NY (boroughs excluded)
- Local, home-daily routes
- 45' and 48' flatbed trailers
- Building materials freight that requires load securement
- our company provides hands-on training for all equipment
- Trucks are 36 months old or newer, backed by 24/7 roadside help and fueling at more than 800 maintenance sites nationwide
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with required endorsements
- Tractor-trailer experience verifying one of: 9 months in the last 3 years, 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years
- Must pass our company's drug screening, background check, motor vehicle record review (including prior employer drug/alcohol checks for the past 3 years), DOT physical and road test
- Comfortable following written and verbal instructions and applying relevant regulations and procedures
- Some assignments may require added screening, such as employment/education verification or customer-specific badging
What you'll be doing
- Following all relevant federal, state and company safety rules
- Spotting and addressing safety risks on the job
- Keeping accurate logs and paperwork
- Helping load or unload freight when the customer requires it
- Other duties as needed
