About this job
Our company is looking for a Class A CDL driver to run a local, no-touch furniture route out of Coppell, TX, with home time every day. Pay is weekly with a strong average, and training is paid.
Pay
- Weekly paychecks averaging $1,500 or more
- Solo mile rate of $0.59 per mile, based on 2,400 miles per week
- Stop pay of $25.00 per stop, based on 5 stops per week
- Paid training included
Schedule and home time
- Monday through Friday, with a 5:00 PM start time
- Local route with daily home time
What you'll haul
- Solo runs within Texas
- Day cab tractor pulling two 26' demountable trailers
- No-touch furniture freight
- Trucks are 36 months old or newer, backed by 24/7 roadside support and fueling at over 800 maintenance sites nationwide
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL with the right endorsements for this route
- Clears our company's drug test, background check, and motor vehicle record review, including verification of drug and alcohol history with past employers over the last 3 years
- Passes a DOT physical and a our company road test
- Tractor-trailer experience in one of these patterns: 9 months in the last 3 years, 2 years in the last 5 years, or 5 years in the last 10 years
- Able to follow instructions and apply relevant rules, laws and procedures
- Some assignments may involve extra screening, such as employment or education checks, additional driving record review, a road test, or customer-specific badging
Responsibilities
- Following applicable safety laws, rules and company standards
- Spotting and addressing safety hazards
- Keeping accurate logs and records
- Helping load or unload freight when the customer requires it
- Other duties as needed
