CDL-A Local Truck Driver — From $15.00/hr

Our company in Fulton, MO needs a truck driver to support its supply chain and logistics operations. You'll handle local and short-haul runs, moving finished goods and raw materials between manufacturing plants, retail locations and distribution centers.

What you'll do

• Haul materials and finished products to and from plants, retailers and distribution centers

• Check your vehicle for mechanical or safety problems and keep up with preventative maintenance

• Plan your routes and keep deliveries on schedule

• Log your driving time, rest periods and mileage, and hold onto fuel and toll receipts

• Enter macros into the company's automated system at each loading and unloading step

• Follow all trucking regulations (size, weight, routes, parking, breaks) along with company procedures

• Back trucks into position for loading and unloading

• Gather and confirm delivery instructions

• Report any equipment issues, accidents or violations

Requirements

• Previous experience driving a truck

• Comfortable using GPS, AVL units, CB radios and similar equipment

• Able to handle long hours and frequent travel

• Solid understanding of trucking laws and regulations

• Clean driving record with no recent violations

• Able to adjust on the fly to traffic, weather and other surprises

• Valid truck driving license; CDL A preferred

• About 1 year of experience driving heavy or tractor-trailer trucks preferred

Pay

Starting at $15.00 per hour, full-time.
