CDL-A Local Tanker Driver — Home Daily, $30.11–$31.33/hr

Our company is hiring a local, home-daily transport driver to haul petroleum products between loading terminals and customer delivery sites in the Texas City, TX area. You'll work independently following company safety procedures, with no overnight travel required.

Pay

• $30.11 to $31.33 per hour

• Eligible for a company-sponsored annual bonus

Home time

• Local routes, home every day

• Shifts run up to 12 hours, either AM or PM, and may extend beyond the scheduled time

• Weekend and holiday work may be needed

What you'll haul

• Petroleum products moved by tank truck/trailer or tractor/trailer between loading points and delivery locations

What you'll do

• Inspect your equipment before and after each trip per DOT and company standards, logging any issues found

• Load and unload product following site-specific procedures, obeying all federal, state and local rules

• Complete required paperwork and leave the truck ready for the next driver

• Report safety, environmental or equipment concerns right away

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tank Vehicle endorsements

• Able to drive interstate and operate both manual and automatic transmissions

• Clean driving record, subject to company review

• Must register with the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and consent to a records check

• Will need to obtain a TWIC card (company pays for it)

• Must pass a DOT physical (and keep your medical card current), drug/alcohol screening, a 3-year DOT safety check, a 7-year criminal background check, and a hands-on road test

Physical demands

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather

• Able to work at heights of 30+ feet on graded surfaces

• Able to lift, carry, push or pull 50-65 lbs regularly

• Able to sit for long stretches and hold a steering wheel for extended periods
