About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to run local and regional routes out of Atlanta, GA, hauling a mix of freight types and keeping deliveries on schedule.
Pay
- $1,000.00 - $3,000.00 per week
What you'll haul
- Mixed freight including refrigerated loads, flatbed loads, tanker loads, hazmat, and vehicle transport trailers
- You'll load and unload cargo by hand or with equipment, and secure it properly for the road
The work
- Run local and regional routes, planning your path with GPS and adjusting as conditions change
- Keep up with rig inspections, basic maintenance checks, and your driving logs
- Communicate with customers and deliver freight to the right place, on time
- Follow DOT, FMCSA, and hazmat handling rules at all times
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record
- Solid background in commercial truck driving, including route and delivery work
- Comfortable with manual transmissions and manual freight handling
- Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or auto-hauling trailers is a plus
- Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, and hazardous materials rules
