CDL-A Local P&D Driver / Forklift Operator — Union Scale Pay

Our company in Atlanta, GA needs a local CDL-A driver who can also run a forklift. You'll pick up and deliver freight near the distribution center and help load and unload trailers using dock-worker methods.

What you'll do

• Pick up and deliver cargo close to the consolidation/distribution center

• Load and unload trailers, including building and breaking down loads while following weight distribution rules

• Run a forklift when needed

• Handle check-in, inspect and set up tractors and trailers, and complete accurate paperwork and load logs

• Take on other assigned tasks; exact duties and hours depend on the terminal

Schedule

Hours and days vary by location and can include days, nights, and weekends. You need to be available for whatever schedule applies at this terminal. Travel is minimal, around 0%-25%.

Pay

This is an hourly role paid weekly, at Teamster Union Scale, which runs higher than many other carriers. You'll earn overtime for anything past 8 hours in a day.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (less experience may still qualify you for training)

• Class A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazmat endorsements, with no automatic restriction

• At least 21 years old

• Solid, stable work history and a clean driving record based on your MVR and past employers

• Able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and meet DOT medical standards
