CDL-A Local P&D Driver — Average $81,000/Year

Our company needs a CDL-A driver in Lockwood, NV to handle local pickup and delivery runs between the service center and customer locations. You'll haul freight on tractor-trailer combinations and handle loading and unloading along the way.

Pay

• Pay range runs from $21.45 to $38.98 per hour.

• Pickup & delivery drivers average $81,000 a year.

• New trucking school graduates may qualify for tuition reimbursement.

Schedule

• Shifts run in the afternoon.

• Schedule can fall on any day of the week, Monday through Sunday, based on business needs.

What you'll haul

• You'll move freight between OD service centers and customer sites within the local area.

• Duties include sorting, loading and unloading freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand, plus securing loads with pallets, straps or rope.

• You'll track shipments through the dockyard system and handle paperwork like shipping orders, manifests and damage reports.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with double/triple trailer, tanker and hazmat endorsements.

• At least 22 years old.

• Clean driving record.

• 12 months of tractor-trailer driving experience, or graduation from an approved driving school, or completion of OD's own driver training program.

• Able to pass DOT medical standards, drug and alcohol screening, and OD's training/orientation program.

• Comfortable using handheld tablets and two-way radios, with solid English communication skills.

• Physically able to sit for up to 11 hours, climb in and out of the cab repeatedly, lift and carry freight up to 100 pounds, push or pull loads up to 500 pounds with equipment, and operate a manual transmission.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
