CDL-A Local Delivery Truck Driver — Home Nightly, Touch Freight

Our company needs a reliable CDL-A driver in Midland, TX to run local delivery routes, handling a tractor-trailer and unloading orders of meat, produce, frozen items, groceries and other goods at customer stops. You'll get to know the customers on your route and work directly with them to keep their operations running smoothly.

Home time

Most driver trainees run daily routes and get home each night, though you should expect overtime, weekend and holiday work when business demands it.

What you'll haul

You'll deliver a mix of products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries and dry goods, unloading by hand at each stop.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old

• Must pass pre-employment testing

• Valid Class A CDL with a driving record that meets the company's insurance standards

• Able to read, speak and understand English well enough to talk with customers, read road signs, respond to official requests and complete paperwork

• Able to repeatedly lift, push or move freight averaging 40-60 pounds, sometimes up to 100 pounds

• Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed

Preferred but not required: a year of customer delivery experience, six months using a hand cart or hand truck, six months in food and beverage work, and two years of steady work history.
