About this job
Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver to run a local tractor-trailer route, delivering and servicing accounts for container redemption.
What you'll do
- Run daily DOT pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Operate the tractor-trailer and related equipment (pallet jacks, lift gates, handheld devices) safely and courteously
- Handle paperwork, product counts, and prep work such as bagging and building pallets
- Load and secure all freight on the truck
- Learn OBRC's products, operations, and sorting procedures, and explain them to retailers and customers
- Get your route's tasks done within the week
Schedule
- Local routes with daily travel; no overnight trips
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A with a clean driving history
- Must pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen
- Working knowledge of air brakes, fifth wheels, and combination vehicles
- Familiarity with OBRC's operations and service areas is a plus
- Comfortable communicating professionally with coworkers, retailers, and customers
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. repeatedly through the day
- High school diploma or GED
- Professional appearance and attitude
This role has no supervisory duties.
