CDL-A Local Delivery Driver — $75,000+ First Year, No Nights or Weekends

Our company in Shawano, WI is looking for a CDL-A driver to run local food delivery routes. Shifts start early in the morning, Monday through Friday, with no nights or weekends on the schedule.

Pay and bonus

• First-year earnings of $75,000 or more

• A $10,000 hiring bonus applies, with terms attached; anyone who has worked for a Performance Food Group company in the last 6 months is not eligible

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, early morning starts

• Local routes only, so you're home with no overnight, weekend, or night shifts

What you'll do

You'll drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on local and regional routes, delivering food and food-related products to customers safely and on time. Day to day, this includes:

• Running pre- and post-trip inspections on your tractor and trailer per DOT rules, and flagging any safety or repair issues

• Checking that freight is loaded and secured correctly, and matching items against customer invoices

• Completing delivery paperwork accurately, including hours-of-service logs

• Delivering orders on your scheduled route, unloading product into customer storage areas, and using hand trucks, two-wheelers, or lift gates as needed

• Confirming deliveries with customers, getting signatures, and collecting payment when required

• Loading customer returns and damaged goods for the trip back, and keeping your tractor and trailer area clean

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

• At least 6 months of commercial driving experience

• Valid CDL-A license

• Minimum age 21

• Clean motor vehicle record for the past 3 years

• Must pass a post-offer drug screen, criminal background check, and road test

• Valid DOT health card, or able to obtain one

• Able to lift product by hand and with equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates; items typically weigh 10-35 pounds, with some up to 60-90 pounds depending on location
