About this job
Our company, a family-owned contract carrier in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, needs an experienced CDL-A driver to haul live turkeys from the Monroe, NC region to Dayton, VA. The work is steady and year-round, and you are home daily.
Pay
- Weekly guaranteed minimum of $1,750
- $1,500 sign-on bonus, paid after 45 days
Route and schedule
- You pick up one load of live turkeys in Monroe, NC and deliver it to Dayton, VA
- Work days are Sunday through Thursday, plus some Fridays, and you are home daily
- Your shift starts between 3pm and 6pm
- Live load is no-touch and takes approximately 45 minutes
Equipment
- Manual transmission truck
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A with a clean driving record
- At least 2 years of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
- Able to do routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- A solid commitment to safe, punctual driving and good service to customers

About the company
Our company hauls agricultural commodities such as live birds, bulk feed and ingredients, working with local family farms as well as major poultry companies and cooperatives. This is a full-time, in-person position.
