Our company's private fleet is hiring regional Class A drivers out of Sutherland, VA. You get weekly home time, no-touch freight and pay for far more than just miles. Our company says first-year regional drivers can earn up to $110,000.
Pay
- Mileage rate of $0.55 to $0.69 per mile, based on roughly 62,355 to 196,040 miles a year. Actual pay depends on location and miles driven.
- Extra activity pay on top of mileage for things like hooks, live loads, layovers, stops, chains, the evening shift and weekend miles.
- Some situations pay activity pay only, such as breakdowns, weather closures, wait time and trailer problems.
- Average Daily Pay of $240 a day covers PTO, safety days, holidays and full-day our company events.
- Quarterly safety bonuses and annual raises.
Home time
- Home every week, with consecutive days off each week.
What you'll do
- Drive and inspect your tractor-trailer before, during and after each trip.
- Keep paperwork and electronic logs accurate and follow all DOT, state and company rules.
- Plan your day with your team, run optimized routes and keep freight moving on time.
Requirements
- Class A CDL with a Hazmat endorsement and cleared background check, or you get it within 120 days of hire.
- 30 months of full-time Class A driving in the past 3 years, or graduation from our company's Fleet Development Academy.
- In the last 3 years: no more than 2 moving violations, no serious violations and no preventable accidents.
- In the last 10 years: no preventable DOT recordable accidents. No preventable accident with a fatality or catastrophic injury at any time.
- Live within 250 miles of the facility, or move within that range within 90 days of hire.
- our company decides accident preventability using ATA guidelines.
