About this job
Our company needs a CDL-A linehaul driver in Latham, NY, running overnight trailer swaps between terminals and returning home every day. You'll run between the Albany, NY facility and another our company terminal, then head back to your home terminal.
Pay
- From $109,000.00 per year
- Weekly pay comes out to $2,100+
Home time
- Home daily, overnight linehaul routes
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailer freight between our company terminals, with some hazmat and refrigerated trailer runs
- Trucks are 2022 model year or newer
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A
- At least 6 months of recent tractor-trailer experience, or a recent CDL school graduate (1 year preferred)
- Hazmat and tanker endorsements, or willingness to get them within 90 days
- Clean driving record, with no more than one DUI ever and none in the last 5 years
- Must pass a DOT drug screen and a hair follicle test
What you'll do
- Drive your assigned route on a set daily schedule and get home each day
- Use GPS for navigation, confirm shipments, and keep paperwork accurate at each stop
- Follow safety rules, including hazmat and refrigerated trailer handling where needed
- Keep your truck clean and complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any issues right away
- Stay in touch with dispatch and customers to keep pickups and deliveries on time
