About this job
Our company Inc, a FedEx independent contractor based in Mankato, MN, is hiring a CDL-A driver for a local linehaul route. You'll haul 100% no-touch freight and be home every day, driving late-model (2018 and newer) automatic-transmission equipment.
Pay
- $1,400 to $1,850 per week ($72,000 to $92,000 per year)
- $2,000 signing bonus
- Safety bonus and overtime bonus also available
Home time
- Local route with daily home time
What you'll haul
- No-touch freight, running local linehaul loads for FedEx
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license with a current DOT medical card
- Doubles endorsement, or willingness to get one
- At least 1 year of CDL-A driving experience in the last 3 years (6 months is enough if you're a graduate of an accredited CDL school)
- No DUIs within the last 5 years
- Comfortable driving a tractor-trailer in any weather
- Able to hook and unhook trailers, dollies and double trailer sets (equipment training provided)
- Prior experience with companies like FedEx, UPS, Penske, 10 Roads Express, Walmart or Amazon is a plus, though not required
On the job, you'll run pre- and post-trip inspections, follow dispatch instructions, log your shift and route through the onboard ELD system, spot trailers at FedEx and customer locations, and report any accidents or equipment problems right away.
