Our company needs a Line Haul Driver in Reading, PA to run tractor-trailer combinations over long distances between service centers and customer locations. You'll work a 5-day schedule on an overnight shift and be home most nights, with average annual pay of $107,000.

What you'll haul

• Various tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/triples

• Freight moves between company service centers and customer sites outside the local area

• You'll handle loading, unloading and securing freight, and adjust load distribution as needed

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazmat endorsements

• At least 12 months of tractor-trailer driving experience, or graduation from a state-certified driving school, or completion of Old Dominion's own driver training program

• Able to read, write and speak English, and handle basic math for logs, manifests and receipts

• Able to pass DOT medical, drug and alcohol screening, and complete Old Dominion's orientation and training program

• Comfortable with physical tasks: climbing in and out of the cab repeatedly, loading and unloading freight up to 500 pounds with equipment, manual transmission driving, and working in all weather and lighting conditions

• Available for round-the-clock dispatch and extended time away from home when needed
