CDL-A Light Truck Driver — Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, TX

Our company needs a light truck driver to support operations at Laughlin AFB in Del Rio, Texas. You'll move materials, equipment and personnel around the base using a small straight truck and other support vehicles.

What you'll do

• Safely drive various vehicles between locations, including forklifts, wreckers, passenger buses, shuffle vehicles, tractor-trailers and general-purpose trucks

• Check fluids, inspect vehicles for safety before each trip, and refuel using an automated tracking system

• Load and unload cargo and baggage, with or without help

• Handle minor mechanical fixes and keep your vehicle clean and in good shape

• Take responsibility for any government-issued equipment assigned to you

• Pitch in on other duties as needed

Requirements

• Valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver's License with Passenger and Hazardous Materials endorsements

• One year of experience driving in a comparable role

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must pass a DOT physical

• Able to get a flightline driving permit after you're hired (the company covers this)

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English, and communicate well with coworkers

• Understanding of hazardous materials, safety and environmental warning signs

• Able to pass and keep a favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)

• Able to lift at least 50 pounds alone, or 51+ pounds with a team lift
