About this job
Our company is looking for CDL-A contractors, solo or as a team, to run under a lease purchase model with full control over loads, lanes and time off the road. This is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity with freight access across 19 core locations.
Pay
Teams typically bring in $8,000-$12,000 per week paid to the truck, plus an extra $0.20/mi on published rates. Solo contractors usually see $3,000-$4,000 per week. Base pay runs $1.05-$3.50 CPM. These figures are gross revenue to the business, not guaranteed take-home pay, and can shift based on job type, location, experience and performance. A recruiter can walk you through the specifics.
How it works
There's no forced dispatch and no fighting other drivers for loads - you pick your own freight, routes and home time. Staying out two or more weeks at a stretch is recommended, but the schedule is yours to set. Our company also handles freight sourcing, billing, compliance and collections, so you're not stuck doing that on top of driving. If you need a teammate, our company can help pair you with one.
What you'll haul
All freight is no-touch and loaded in advance. OTR lanes mostly run on drop-and-hook with no appointments needed, so you spend your time driving instead of waiting around docks.
Getting into a truck
You can move from company driver to contractor with a down payment as low as $1,500. Leasing is available through partners including Lone Mountain, Arrow and TEL, with various spec options and payment plans. Weekly truck payments start around $400, with terms ranging from 30 to 84 months, so you can pick something that matches your budget.
