CDL-A Lease Purchase OTR Truck Driver — 80/20 Percentage Pay

Our company LLC, working with MTE-Leasing, is offering a lease purchase opportunity for experienced CDL-A drivers who want to run their own truck on OTR dry van freight.

Pay

You keep 80% of gross revenue under the lease purchase split, with weekly gross averaging around $6,500. Weekly mileage bonuses range from $100 for 2,100 loaded miles up to $350 for 2,800 loaded miles. A $500 sign-on bonus pays out after your first 9,000 miles, and weekly advances up to $200 are available.

What you'll haul

All freight is dry van, no-touch (with optional driver-assist loads), and about 70% is drop and hook. Freight comes from a steady customer base plus brokered loads, running across the lower-48 states — no Canada, Mexico or hazmat.

Home time

There's no forced dispatch — you choose your loads and how often you go home.

Lease details

Trucks are 2023-or-newer Freightliner Cascadia or Kenworth T680 models with the balance of factory warranty plus a 7-day trial. A $5,000 down payment is required (financeable at $300/week), with weekly lease costs of $750 (2023, 3-year lease), $850 (2024, 3-year lease) or $950 (2025, 4-year lease). There's no credit check and no interest charged on the lease, though a $15,000 balloon/residual payment is due at the end. The company covers plates, registration, the fuel card, physical insurance, highway 2290/IRP, and IFTA reporting at your cost, deducted from your weekly settlement.

Requirements

• At least 3 months of recent, verifiable CDL-A tractor-trailer experience pulling 48-53ft trailers

• Valid CDL with a DOT medical card attached

• Must live in one of the approved hiring states

• SAP applicants are considered if Step 5 of the Return-to-Duty process is complete (a C/TPA may be used to finish this step)

This is a 1099 owner-operator position, so no company benefits are provided, but you can purchase additional benefits on your own. Fuel and maintenance discounts are available (amount depends on volume and Love's/TA franchise ownership), along with 24/7 support, weekly direct deposit pay, and a policy allowing a rider and one pet dog.
