About this job
This is a lease-purchase opportunity for experienced CDL-A drivers who want to own and operate their own truck while running OTR freight across the lower 48 states.
Pay
- You keep 80% of gross revenue under the lease-purchase structure; weekly gross is estimated to average around $6,500, which the posting translates to a $200,000-$300,000 annual range.
- Extra weekly bonuses are tied to loaded miles: $100 at 2,100 miles, up to $350 at 2,800+ miles.
- A $500 sign-on bonus pays out after your first 9,000 miles.
- Weekly advances up to $200 are available, and pay is deposited weekly with no delay.
Home time
You choose your own loads and how often you go home, since there's no forced dispatch.
What you'll haul
- Dry van freight only, no-touch (driver-assist loads optional).
- About 70% of freight is drop and hook.
- No hazmat, and no runs into Canada or Mexico.
- Freight comes from a steady customer base (about 70%) plus brokered loads, covering the lower 48 states.
Lease details
- Trucks are 2023 or newer Freightliner Cascadia or Kenworth T680 models, with remaining factory warranty and a 7-day trial period.
- A $5,000 down payment is required (financing available at $300/week), with no credit check.
- Weekly lease payments range from $750 to $950 depending on truck year, on 3- or 4-year terms, deducted directly from your settlement.
- There's a $15,000 balloon payment due at lease end, and no interest charged on the lease amount.
- You're responsible for plates/registration, fuel card, physical damage insurance, HWY 2290/IRP, and IFTA reporting, though the company provides access to these.
Requirements
- At least 3 months of recent, verifiable CDL-A tractor-trailer experience with 48-53 foot trailers.
- A valid CDL and current DOT medical card.
- Must live in one of the approved states (a long list spanning the central and eastern US).
- SAP applicants are considered if Step 5 of the Return-to-Duty process is complete; a C/TPA may be used to finish that step.
Benefits
As a 1099 contractor, you can opt to purchase additional benefits at your own expense; no company-provided benefits are included. Fuel and maintenance discounts are available, and you're allowed a rider and one pet dog on board.
The hiring carrier's name is shared with you once you apply through the DriverRoll app, where you can message them directly.
