Our company is a family-run fleet based near Pritchard Rd in Jacksonville, FL, looking for intermodal drivers for regional lanes with daily home time. This is a 1099 independent contractor role paid as a percentage of settlement.
Pay
- You keep 50% of the net settlement amount, paid as a flat-rate split
- A weekly occupational accident insurance deduction of $20.54 applies
- Typical weekly take averages $1,200-$1,550, with some weeks between $1,736.85 and $2,034.27
Home time

What you'll haul
- 40-foot intermodal containers
- Moves run between Jacksonville, FL and Savannah, GA, and between Jacksonville, FL and Ocala, FL
- Freight comes from CSX and NS rail yards and GPA to customer locations, available around the clock
- All loads are drop and hook, and you'll typically bring an empty trailer back
Equipment
- 2018 Freightliner Cascadia with a manual transmission
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A
- TWIC card
- Manual transmission experience is required
- 5 or more years of dry van experience preferred
- Must pass an MVR review, background check and drug screening
- A Florida driver's license is a plus for local applicants
