CDL-A Heavy Haul Driver — $30.84/hr On-Call, Fort Wayne

Our company needs an experienced heavy haul driver for on-call, part-time work based around Fort Wayne, IN. You'll move oversized and specialized loads using step deck, RGN, and double drop trailers.

Pay

• Base rate of $30.84 per hour, plus premium pay on top

What you'll haul

• Quarry equipment such as rock crushers and screen plants, steel plate, and other oversize loads

• Trailers include Step Deck, RGN (Removable Gooseneck), and Double Drop

Routes

• Mostly shuttling equipment between two Fort Wayne, IN pickup spots and QSL's staging yard

• Some point-to-point runs up to about 150 miles out, including toward Indianapolis, IN

• Occasional flatbed steel plate runs from Bourbonnais, IL to Fort Wayne, IN

• Routes shift often, so you need to be fine navigating unfamiliar roads and following permit-specified paths through Indiana, Illinois, and nearby areas

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work

• Pickups start as early as 8:00 AM and run as late as 2:00 PM

• This is on-call, flexible work tied to customer project volume — expect about 20 to 30 hours weekly

• Work days vary, roughly 3 to 6 days a week depending on demand

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL with the right endorsements for oversize and heavy haul work

• At least 2 years of experience hauling oversized or heavy equipment

• Able to work independently and reliably in a part-time, on-call setup with flexible hours
