About this job
Smart Logistics Group is looking for CDL-A drivers to run regional Midwest routes out of the South Bend, Indiana area. Both brand-new CDL-A graduates and experienced drivers are welcome.
Pay
- Earn $0.55 to $0.85 per mile depending on experience level
Home time
- Get home every week while running regional routes rather than long-haul OTR lanes
What you'll haul
- Consistent, dependable freight on regional Midwest routes using brand-new tractors
Requirements
- Hold a valid Class A CDL
- Be authorized to drive commercial vehicles in the US
- Bring a safety-focused, professional approach to the job
- Be open to regional routes with weekly home time
Responsibilities
- Drive your tractor-trailer safely and follow federal, state and company rules
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and flag any maintenance issues
- Keep accurate logs in line with Hours of Service rules
- Deliver loads on time along your assigned regional route
- Stay in regular contact with dispatch and follow routing instructions
