CDL-A Haul Truck Driver — Heavy Equipment Transport

Our company in Amarillo, TX is looking for a Haul Truck Driver to transport heavy machinery between the yard and customer sites. You'll handle loading, securing and delivering equipment while keeping accurate paperwork and strong communication with dispatch and customers.

What you'll do

• Load and unload heavy machinery safely

• Secure loads using ratchet straps, chains, binders and a winch

• Climb on and off equipment and the tractor-trailer several times per day

• Manage your time well to hit delivery and pickup windows

• Drive using safe practices at all times

• Fill out clear, legible inspection reports at delivery and pickup

• Keep daily pre-trip and post-trip inspection records and accurate logbooks

• Work with dispatch and customers to confirm pickup and delivery locations

Requirements

• Class A CDL and a valid medical card

• Certified to operate aerial lifts and forklifts

• Solid understanding of DOT hours-of-service rules and electronic logging

• Able to perform basic maintenance and service on the haul truck and trailer

• Knowledge of DOT legal weight and size limits

• Clean, insurable driving record

• Strong customer service skills

Physical demands

• Able to lift and handle loads up to 70 lbs repeatedly

• Must pass a DOT physical

• Able to crawl under and move around equipment to secure it, work in hot or cold conditions, and frequently bend, reach and walk
