About this job
Our company Inc. needs a hands-on mechanic to keep its fleet of trucks, trailers, skid loaders and construction equipment running. You'll take ownership of maintenance and repairs while also helping out around the shop, yard and jobsites. A valid CDL Class A is required for this role.
What you'll do
- Maintain and repair pickup trucks, dump trucks, trailers, skid loaders and small equipment and tools
- Diagnose mechanical problems and arrange repairs when needed
- Handle preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Keep equipment clean, serviced and ready for the next job
- Track upcoming maintenance needs and flag repair priorities
- Help keep the shop and yard organized
- Drive materials and equipment out to jobsites
- Lend a hand to field crews and the operations team as needed
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with trucks, trailers and construction equipment
- Basic diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
- Self-motivated, organized and reliable
- Valid CDL Class A
- A plus if you've run skid loaders or other equipment
- A plus if you have welding or fabrication skills
Pay
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour, based on experience.
