CDL-A Final Mile Driver — Hazmat & Tanker

Our company is looking for a CDL-A driver in Eagan, MN to handle final mile deliveries of hazardous materials. You will run assigned routes in heavy-duty tractor-trailers, keeping every load secure and compliant while giving customers and dispatch clear updates along the way.

What you'll haul

• Hazardous materials, chemicals, and specialty cargo requiring hazmat handling

• Deliveries made using tractor-trailers on scheduled, assigned routes

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A with hazmat and tanker endorsements

• At least 21 years old, per interstate driving rules

• High school diploma or GED

• At least one year of CDL Class A tractor-trailer experience, including experience with similar equipment

• No more than two moving violations in the last three years

• Must pass a DOT physical and meet DOT qualification standards

• Solid knowledge of hazmat regulations: handling, packaging, labeling, placarding, and emergency response

• Comfortable with ELD systems, basic computer use, and ideally Microsoft Office tools

• Able to drive manual or automatic transmissions

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs periodically and handle physical tasks like standing, walking, and climbing stairs during a shift

• Willing to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, and to be on call or cover for other drivers when needed

The role

• Drive safely in line with DOT rules, hours-of-service limits, and company policy

• Inspect and maintain your vehicle, checking tires, fluids, and mechanical condition, and reporting issues right away

• Secure and monitor hazardous cargo during transit, using PPE when required

• Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel use, load documentation, and hours worked

• Plan routes around road, weather, and traffic conditions, and communicate updates to dispatch and customers

• Provide professional, responsive service when resolving delivery issues or customer questions
