CDL-A Equipment Hauler — $60,000–$90,000/yr, Overnight Travel

This role moves construction gear and materials for fiber optic broadband projects out of Minneapolis, MN. You'll haul tractor-trailers, lowboys, flatbeds and equipment trailers loaded with items like directional drills, trenchers, aerial lifts, reels and utility vehicles to job sites, with frequent overnight travel required.

Pay

• $60,000 to $90,000 per year

What you'll haul

• Construction and fiber-build equipment: directional drills, mini excavators, vacuum trucks, reel trailers, utility trailers, fiber reels, conduit, restoration gear and support vehicles

• Equipment moved on tractor-trailers, lowboys, flatbeds and equipment trailers

Responsibilities

• Secure loads to DOT standards and complete pre-trip, post-trip and daily inspections

• Keep accurate logs, inspection reports and fuel records

• Coordinate pickups and deliveries with project managers and field crews

• Load and unload equipment, and operate a forklift when authorized

• Pitch in on yard, warehouse and field tasks between driving assignments

• Handle changing schedules, including early mornings, nights and weekends as project needs demand

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT medical card

• Clean driving record that meets insurability standards

• Two years of commercial driving experience preferred, ideally hauling oversized or construction equipment

• Must pass drug/alcohol screening, background check and MVR review

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• OSHA 10/30, forklift certification or First Aid/CPR are a plus
