CDL-A Driver Trainees OK — Home Every 2 Weeks, $1,000/wk Guarantee

Our company is hiring CDL-A drivers in Henderson, NV, including brand-new drivers fresh out of school. You'll run a southwest regional route and get home every two weeks, sometimes lining up with your 34-hour reset.

Pay

• Training pays $800 per week

• Once you're solo, your pay won't drop below $1,000 a week for your first 3 months

• After that, drivers typically average $1,000 to $1,200 weekly

• Starting mileage rate is $0.50 per mile

• Expect 1,900 to 2,000 miles per week

• You're paid every week

• Orientation comes with a hotel room covered, your one-way bus fare reimbursed, and a $300 payment once you're hired

Home time

You'll be back home every two weeks, and sometimes that break lines up with your required reset.

What you'll haul

Your lanes run between Casa Grande, El Paso, Albuquerque, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, and both Southern and Northern California. Expect shorter hauls through busier traffic, and some holiday work. No freight to hand-unload.

Getting started

A recruiter will go over your CDL and driving record with you by phone. Orientation runs up to 2 days. From there, you'll spend 4 to 6 weeks on the road with a mentor, learning backing, trip planning, log keeping and fueling, paid at $800 a week. Once you're solo, you'll get your own truck, averaging about 1.5 years old, with either a 10-speed manual or automatic transmission. A 120-hour CDL school certificate is enough to qualify even with no experience, and if your backing skills need work, that's exactly what the mentor phase is for.

Requirements

• Class A CDL, age 21 or older

• Either a 120-hour CDL school certificate or 6 months of recent driving experience

• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years, and no DUI/DWI within the last 10 years

• Must pass a DOT physical and a drug screening (hair and urine)
