CDL-A Driver — $28.00–$31.00/hr, Charlton, MA

Our company needs a full-time CDL-A driver based in Charlton, MA to run routes across the Northeast region and pitch in with warehouse duties, loading and building pallets for the truck. You will be a hands-on part of the team, balancing driving time with physical work at the facility.

Pay

• Starting base pay runs $28.00-$31.00 per hour, with the exact rate depending on location, skills, experience and training.

• A company bonus program and a full benefits package add to the total pay.

Schedule

• You will work Monday, and Wednesday through Saturday, 5:00 am to 1:00 pm.

• Sundays are worked only when needed, with advance notice given.

What you'll haul

• You will drive Tree House's own CDL-class vehicles along set Northeast routes, and may occasionally run other company vehicles and equipment as needed.

• Warehouse duties include building and strapping down pallets per the shipping manifest, using a forklift, pallet jack or electric pallet jack.

Requirements

• Class A CDL license.

• At least 6 months of professional experience driving CDL-class vehicles.

• Clean driving history.

• Forklift experience.

• Able to sit for extended stretches and to push, pull, bend and lift as much as 55 lbs throughout the shift.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen after a job offer.

• Strong attention to detail, reliable time management, and solid written and verbal communication.

• Comfortable working with little supervision, multitasking under time pressure, and troubleshooting problems as they come up.

Day-to-day duties also include knowing your routes and backup options, following all road safety rules, logging trips and filing any accident or incident reports, checking vehicles for needed repairs and keeping up with routine maintenance, and flagging any product damage, shortages or quality issues.
