CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver — $90,000/yr Average + $10,000 Sign-On

Our company in Plainfield, IN is looking for a CDL-A delivery driver to haul and deliver food and food-related products to customers on local, OTR, shuttle, and drive-and-drop routes. You'll run early morning shifts Monday through Friday and play a key role in keeping the food supply chain moving.

Pay

• $90,000/year average

• $10,000 sign-on bonus (terms and conditions apply)

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, early morning starts

What you'll haul

• Food and food-related products delivered to customers on intrastate and interstate routes, including local, over-the-road, shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop runs

What you'll do

• Run pre-trip and post-trip inspections on your tractor and trailer to meet DOT and company safety standards, reporting any issues that come up

• Check that freight is loaded and secured correctly, and match items against customer invoices

• Deliver orders on your scheduled route, unload products, and bring them into customer storage areas

• Confirm deliveries with customers, collect signatures, and handle cash or check payments when required

• Load customer returns and damaged goods back onto the trailer, securing everything for transport

• Keep accurate, legible paperwork and log your hours of service according to DOT and company rules

• Keep your tractor, dock area, and trailer clean and organized

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

• At least 6 months of commercial driving experience

• Valid CDL-A

• Minimum age 21

• Clean motor vehicle record for the past 3 years

• Able to pass a post-offer drug test, criminal background check, and road test

• Valid DOT health card, or able to obtain one

• Able to hand-lift and use a two-wheeler, lift gate, or similar equipment to move and stack cases generally weighing 10-35 pounds, and up to 60-90 pounds depending on location
