About this job
Our company, a family-owned lumberyard in Mankato, MN with over 25 years in business, is looking for a CDL-A driver to handle deliveries and help out in the warehouse. You'll run a Monday-Friday, 8-5 schedule in a friendly, local work environment.
What you'll do
- Drive trucks and pull trailers to get customer orders delivered on time and safely
- Load and unload materials by hand or forklift, taking care with inventory
- Do pre-trip and post-trip checks on your truck and trailer to stay DOT compliant
- Help out with warehouse tasks like organizing stock, managing inventory, and pulling orders for customers' building projects
- Secure all materials properly before hitting the road
Requirements
- CDL Class A license
- Comfortable driving larger single-axle trucks and/or pulling bigger trailers
- Familiarity with different types of building materials
- Able to do physical work, including lifting heavy loads and safely running heavy equipment
- A safety-first mindset and good customer service skills with homeowners and contractors
Pay
$21.00 - $30.00 per hour
