CDL-A Delivery Driver — Home Daily, Avg. $94,000/yr

Our company is looking for a CDL-A delivery driver to run local and regional routes out of Sturtevant, WI, hauling food and food-related products to customers like restaurants, hotels and schools. You'll be home every day, with no team runs or sleeper cab involved.

Pay

• Earning potential of $90,000 to $135,000 per year, with drivers averaging $94,000 annually

Schedule

• Monday through Friday

• Dispatch happens between 3am and 5am

• Home daily, no overnight or team driving

What you'll haul

• Tractor trailer or straight truck routes, including local, over-the-road, shuttle, overnight and drive-and-drop runs

• Food and food-related products delivered and unloaded at customer locations

What the job involves

• Pre- and post-trip inspections of your tractor and trailer to meet DOT and company safety rules

• Checking that freight is loaded and secured properly, and counting items against invoices

• Completing accurate, legible paperwork for every load

• Driving your assigned route and delivering orders on schedule

• Unloading product and moving it into customer storage areas, using hand trucks, two-wheelers or lift gates as needed

• Checking for damaged goods and reporting issues to your supervisor

• Getting signatures to confirm delivery and collecting payment (cash or check) when required

• Loading customer returns, securing the trailer and locking up equipment at the end of your shift

• Logging your hours of service daily per DOT and company rules

• Keeping your truck and the dock area clean

Requirements

• At least 12 months of commercial driving experience

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent

• Valid CDL-A

• Any state licensing or certification required for the role

• Minimum age 21

• Clean driving record (MVR) for the last 3 years

• Must pass a post-offer drug screen, criminal background check and road test

• Valid DOT Health Card, or able to obtain one

• Able to lift and move product cases generally weighing 10 to 35 pounds, and up to roughly 60 to 90 pounds depending on location
