CDL-A Delivery Driver — Avg $95,500/Year, 2 Overnights/Week

Our company, a major food and snack distributor, is looking for a CDL-A driver to deliver products to customers on local and regional routes. Drivers typically work a four-day week with two overnight trips included, and average annual pay is $95,500.

Pay

• Average driver earnings are $95,500 a year, paid on an hourly basis.

Home time

• Expect a four-day work week with two overnight runs included.

• Schedule runs Monday through Friday, with dispatch times between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m.

What you'll haul

• You'll operate a tractor trailer or straight truck on local, over-the-road, shuttle, and drive-and-drop routes.

• Loads consist of food and food-service products delivered to retail and service customers.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections in line with DOT rules.

• Verify loaded freight against invoices and paperwork.

• Deliver orders on scheduled routes and unload goods into customer storage areas.

• Handle customer returns, damaged goods, and required signatures or payment collection.

• Keep accurate hours-of-service logs and maintain a clean truck and work area.

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A and at least 21 years old.

• At least 6 months of commercial driving experience.

• High school diploma or GED.

• Clean driving record over the past 3 years.

• Must pass a background check, drug screening, and road test.

• Current or obtainable DOT medical card.

• Able to lift and move product cases weighing roughly 10 to 90 pounds using equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates.
